Legendary Wheel Co. Styled Alloy Wheel 16"x8" 1965-1973 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 17858.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lug clearance is awful They are great looking wheels don't get me wrong. I have not yet contacted CJ about this issue but the lug nuts are so close to the hub or center of the wheel that I could not fit a standard socket over the lugnut. I ordered a highly reviewed thin wall lugnut socket with no luck either. Ended up scratching the paint in the lug nuts area even using tape on the end of the socket. I was planning on buying a set of the magnum 500 style for my fastback but with it being such a nightmare to get the wheel on and off I don't think I will anymore. I thoughthink that maybe the studs from the axle were out of place or not seated correctly so I removed the brakes and put the old wheels which fit perfectly back on and re torqued them down with still no luck. Hopefully Legendary hears about this and shaves a little more off in the log area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Wheel and Tire Combo looks AMAZING on my '65! Bought these for my 1965 GT Coupe. The shop that put them on for me said the lugs were a little tricky, but absolutely worth the time and effort! The car was a head turner and now it is a show stopper! People can't quit complimenting the wheels and tires everywhere I go. You have to buy these if you haven't already. I went with the 16x8 all around and BF Goodrich tires. We did smaller sidewalls on the front and don't have any clearance issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Look! I got these for my 1965 GT Coupe and they look great. I bought the entire wheel and tire combo with caps and lug nuts. They came perfectly balanced and were a breeze to install! Highly recommend.

Product Questions

I have been trying desperately searching Google and Mustang Forums to find a picture of a 67-68 coupe with these wheels in 16x8 with the 245/60/16 tire.  IS there any chance anyone there has a coupe (or fastback) with these mounted?

Look on the legendary wheel company website. They have a gallery.

I am considering a set of these rims, however I'd like to know the largest disc brake I can fit with these rims. Please let me know so I can order those too. Thanks

Asked by: BudPaige
Pretty much all of our factory style and disc brake conversion setups will fit. We offer several upgraded brake systems from SSBC, Baer and Wilwood. A majority of them will fit as well. It is not always the size of the disc that plays a factor but the shape of the caliper has a lot to do with it as well. If there is any brake kits that you are interested in, chances are there is a note within that part that states what size wheels are required.

I am contemplating buying this combo for my 66, but my concern lies in whether or not these wheels and tires will rub when the steering wheel is at full lock. Or hit the fender lip or quarter panel lip?
