Maximum Motorsports Steering Shaft Assembly for 1979-1993 Mustangs with an SN95 Power Steering Rack.

Maximum Motorsport's hybrid solid steering shaft assembly allows the installation of a 1994-2004 (SN95) power steering rack in a 1979-1993 Mustang.

-Improved steering response (eliminates deflection allowed by the stock rubber rag joint)
-Reduced play at the steering wheel
-Stays secure (no setscrews to loosen)
-Improved header clearance at the lower U-joint
-Precise fit, easier installation & improved safety (due to collapsible section between rack & firewall)

Features:
-Unique upper shaft allows proper clocking of Fox Mustang steering wheel to match SN95 steering rack
-Attaches to SN95 steering rack with a pinch-bolt clamp (like OEM)
-U-joints are welded to the shaft, no setscrews to loosen.
-2 race-quality needle-bearing U-joints (replaces rubber rag joint & upper pin/block U-joint
-Telescoping design allows lengthening, up to 1.1" longer than stock
-Unique collapsible center section prevents the 2 halves from pulling apart.
-Collapses shorter than a stock shaft.
