Our Fiesta ST had a previously installed aftermarket exhaust system that we already removed. If you're working with a factory exhaust, you want to cut it right here before the rear sub frame, and then simply remove it from the hangers. We're going to start with the muffler assembly up front here to the factory downpipe. Before that, remove the factory rubber isolator. MBRP actually goes the extra mile and gives you a nice heavy duty set to replace the factory ones. Now, we'll start hanging the muffler assembly. First, put a little bit of spray in the hanger to make it go in a little bit easier. Now, let's install the supplied gasket on the factory studs. Use the factory supplied nuts with the washers supplied by MBRP. Muffler supporter, we can remove the second isolator back here, and install the new one from MBRP. Now, we'll put one of the supplied clamps over our muffler, and we'll install the mid-pipe.
We're going to leave the muffler clamp loose for now, and put the S-pipe up into place. You want to grab one of your clamps. Once we have the S-pipe fitted with proper clearance, then we need to tighten everything down. Now, we're going to work on the actual tailpipe itself. Again, we'll start by removing the factory rubber hangers. Now, we'll put the new hangers on our tailpipe before we try to install it. We'll put our clamp up into place first, and then take the tailpipe over the rear sub frame. Once the tailpipe's on, we can put the hangers onto the factory locations. Then we can tighten down the tailpipe, and we'll move on to the exhaust tips.
Last up now is to install the polished tips. See, when you get them on the tailpipe, you can adjust how far you want it to stick out. Then you can tuck them pretty good, and put them all the way back in. Also, make sure you have proper clearance around your valence, and then you can tighten it up. We want to adjust the tips and adjust the pipes, if necessary, to make sure everything clears and your installation is finished. Now, we really know you care about is how it sounds. Let's fire it up. A nice, deep, aggressive tone, we combed it up from MBRP. It sounds great on our Fiesta ST.
