Product Description

McLeod Hydraulic Clutch Conversion Kit for 1965-1966 Mustangs with a T-5 or TKO Transmission Swap.

The McLeod Hydraulic Clutch Conversion Kit is ideal for 1965-1966 Mustangs that have a aging mechanical linkage or need extra space due to a motor swap or other changes. A McLeod Direct Fit Hydraulic Kit is designed with the very best components for ease of install and great life.

This hydraulic kit will provide an easy pedal effort when shifting through the gears and makes cruising the town or fairgrounds a absolute dream. Another additional benefit when installing this McLeod hydraulic kit is the self-adjusting bearing feature, no more adjusting the clutch every 4-6 months. The hydraulic kit will allow the bearing to self-adjust when the disc wears throughout its life cycle.

- Master cylinder
- Internal bearing/slave cylinder
- Mounting brackets
- Remote reservoir

This kit requires more than 4" of space between the bellhousing and clutch pressure plate springs, if you have that it should work.

I have a 1966 Mustang GT Fastback with Borg Warner T5 trans, a BDS dual master cylinder w/~6" booster, a Flaming River tilt column, will this conversion fit on the firewall?

Asked by: Mickey127
You should be fine, we have done something very similar with our Project 50/30 '65 Fastback. The only issue that may occur is clearance around the master cylinder or brake booster. You may have to relocate the reservoir by offsetting it slightly or mounting it higher on the firewall.

Hi, I am looking for a 1966 mustang hydraulic clutch conversion kit, I have a T10 gearbox and a V8 289 engine. Will the 1966 hydraulic cylinder bearing in the Kit you have advertised work for my gearbox? or will i need another size?

Asked by: Black_Rooster
Unfortunately, this won't work. We just don't have too much for T-10s.
