McLeod Hydraulic Clutch Conversion Kit With Slave Cylinder 302/351W 1979-1995/GT 1996-2004/Bullitt 2001 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bring Your Fox or SN95 into the 21st Century! I kept on snapping clutch cables on my 96 GT with a heavy duty clutch, as in once per 3k miles. I didn't want to waste a perfectly fine clutch with only 10k miles (one of the previous owners put in a Spec Stage 3+, which is questionable judgement since this is not a drag car). This was cheaper than the labor involved to replace the clutch with an OEM grade one, and I ditched the old cable linkage for a smoother hydraulic setup. The pedal effort is significantly reduced, making it much easier to drive around town. The install wasn't too complicated. The thing that took the longest time was figuring out where to mount the fluid reservoir.

Will the slave cylinder version of the kit work on a 93 mustang 5.0 with long tube headers? Will there be a significant difference in pedal pressure using the king cobra clutch? Thanks

Asked by: firstcarstang
There should not be any clearance issues on your application. This setup offers much softer pedal effort and smoother clutch performance even with the King Cobra Clutch.
