Product Description

Black Curved Monte Carlo Bar for 1965-1966 Mustangs.

The Monte Carlo bar was developed by Carroll Shelby to stop shock tower flex and maintain proper wheel alignment during hard cornering. This extra support also helps prevent shock tower stress cracks. Curved design allows for extra clearance for oval air cleaners and aftermarket distributors.

*When installing a Monte Carlo bar on 1965-1966 Convertibles, you must remove the factory tubular engine compartment bracing.

Monte Carlo Bar Curved Black 1965-1966 is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finishes the Look! I had just got my premium quality export brace installed the day before and this showed up today. Luckily it wasn't as difficult to install as the export brace. I think my 65 289 had twisted and shifted enough over the past 50 years that it gave me some fitment issues on both fronts. However, with the export brace already on, there was only a little bit of shoving, jarring, and tapping needed. This is an inexpensive and excellent choice to finish off that awesome look in your engine compartment. Make sure to grab some hardware too since this does not come with it. On to the next challenge....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Welds: Possible Quality Control Issue I rarely have anything negative regarding products sold at CJ's. With this monte carlo bar I can't give it a recommendation. It was a bit of a pain to line up the holes but can be done with some effort. However, the welds on the bar to the mounts were garbage on mine. One had stress cracks already and the other didn't even have a full circle weld on the tube. Most likely just a quality control issue but before I could install it I had to reweld the bar on both mounts and then repaint it. If I didn't have a welder I'd have requested an exchange and went for the Scott Drake model instead.
