Product Description

Black Curved Monte Carlo Bar for 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Mustangs.

Are you looking for a way to add some rigidity to your classic 1967-1970 Mustang's engine chassis? Try updating your pony's engine by and add this Black Curved Monte Carlo Bar from CJ Pony Parts today!

The Monte Carlo bar was developed by Carroll Shelby to stop shock tower flex and maintain proper wheel alignment during hard cornering. This extra support also helps prevent shock tower stress cracks. This upgraded support bar is crafted from high-quality metal and comes with a beautiful black metallic finish to add some extra class to your engine bay. For convertible models, you must remove the factory tubular engine compartment bracing. No other modifications are necessary when installing this Monte Carlo bar.

Tech Tip: The curved design of this Monte Carlo bar allows for extra clearance for oval air cleaners and aftermarket distributors. A straight Monte Carlo bar (MCB42) is also available.
Please Note: Mounting hardware (HW2911) is sold separately.

Monte Carlo Bar Curved Black 1967-1970 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted I purchased this for my 67 coupe to pair with my export brace. These together are a huge improvement in efforts to reduce shock tower flexing. The Monte Carlo bar is an easy installation, lightweight and looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's gotta help I bought this Monte Carlo bar for my 1967 coupe based on the reviews. I also like to look at Mustangs for sale online and I have seen several where the engine bay pictures show just such a bar. I have not installed this bar yet because my restoration isn't at that point yet (I bought it now to catch the CJ sale price) but the strength and rigidity look very good. I figure with almost 50 year old metal the cost of this bar is cheap insurance against stress to the original shock towers on my car. I'm curious to see how well it strengthens the car when going over bumps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monte Carlo Bar The bottom bolts were already there, so took them out, installed and tightened to determine the location to drill the top two holes. Drilled the top Installed and allOK.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helps stiffen front end. The first thing I noticed was most of the rattles were gone when going over bumps.

What size opening is the Monte Carlo bar designed for? I have a '67 289 fastback that has had front end damage.  Thank you.

Asked by: Lesly
It will fit under the stock hood. That being said, if you have front end damage, that might throw off fitment.
