MRT Downpipe High-Flow Catted Stainless Steel 3" To 2-1/4" EcoBoost 2015-2017 is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality I spent almost 1.5 hours between putting my Mustang up on jack stands and taking off the stock down pipe due to issues with a broke exhaust stud. To make things worse the MRT downpipe lower pipe wasn't flared enough to fit the upper pipe inside to clamp together. They were both almost the same diameter. So I had to put the stock pipe back in and now I have to take the MRT pipe to a muffler shop to have them flare the lower pipe. Also I wasn't expecting perfect welds since this isn't a part that's seen but it looks like a child did the welding with the cheapest welder available where the O2 sensors go. I guess I got what I paid for since this was the cheapest downpipe!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good flow Just got this installed. Great flow and pretty simple to install. I did notice that the welding where the O2 sensors are mounted wasn't that great. On mine it didn't go all the way around the port. Which is causing a very minor leak.

is this an off road down pipe?

Asked by: ad_vill
No, it contains a high flow cat.

why when i put on the downpipe, the check engine light is on

Asked by: kfwangqi
Yes it will most likely throw a code. However  I recommend getting a custom tune via cobb accessport or other software so you can delete the code and also to make sure the air fuels are corrected for the new exhaust setup.

We don't keep track of the aftermarket part laws in any area, so we'd encourage you to check the list of official approved CARB parts here: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/devices/amquery.php.

Can this downpipe be used with the MBRP black exhaust system?

Asked by: Pameluxen
Yes, this is a direct replacement for your factory downpipe. So it is designed to be used with your factory cat-back or any aftermarket cat-back that installs using the original connection points.

Hi, I have installed a Borla ATAK cat-back exhaust for my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost, which has a 2.5' diameter, would this DP fit it? Also, I would like to know how many WHP &WTQ could it make after the tune, the number could be dyno or just an estimate,THX!!

Asked by: Cool Bear
If your Borla cat-back is connected to your factory downpipe, then this downpipe will fit in its place perfectly. Regarding HP and TQ numbers, it all depends on your tune. We cannot speculate how much power you will make, but we will tell you that it will be a noticeable improvement.

MRT Downpipe High-Flow Catted Stainless Steel 3" To 2-1/4" EcoBoost 2015-2017 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: We’re here with MRT's High-Flow Catted Downpipe fitting your 2015 EcoBoost Mustang.

The MRT's High-Flow Catted Downpipe is a great way to add horsepower and torque to your EcoBoost Mustang while staying emissions legal. It's made here in the USA of 304 stainless steel. It's all mandrel bent 3-inch diameter with a 2 1/4-inch outlet. It uses a high-flow catalytic converter. It is a direct replacement for your factory down-pipe, will work with your stock cat back, or any other cat back that's designed to work with a stock downpipe.

Here's a clip from one of our previous videos, showing you the basics of installing the MRT downpipe on your EcoBoost Mustang.

If you're looking for additional power and sound,MRT does offer an off-road version of the downpipe as well. With either, we do suggest the use of a tune when installing.
