Mustang Ford Racing GT 85mm Cold Air Kit (2005-2009) Installation Instructions
2. Locate the mass airflow sensor on the stock intake tube and unplug it, then use your Torx bit to remove it completely. Disconnect the PCV line and loosen the only bolt that is holding the air box to the fender. Loosen the intake tube from the throttle body with a flat head, then remove the old
Mustang GT cold air kit.
3. Put the new
Ford Racing cold air kit in place and use the bolt that was removed earlier to attach it. Then, use the new stud that came in the kit to attach the heat shield. Reinstall the MAF sensor into the new intake, along with the PCV hose that was removed earlier. Using your flat head screw driver, tighten all of the hose clamps on the throttle body as well as the air filter. The physical installation of the cold air kit is now completed, but it needs tuned with your Pro Cal.
4. Connect the Pro Cal to your Mustang via the OBDII port, which is located under the steering wheel. Select your tune from the menu and adjust the options to fit whatever additional mods you may have on your car. Once you have adjusted all of your options, program the car. Once programming is complete, remove the Pro Cal and start your car. You should let it idle for 5 minutes after tuning, so it can relearn everything again. The installation of your new
Mustang Ford Racing 85mm GT Cold Air Kit is now complete!
