Ford Mustang Pillar Pads

If you own a classic Mustang, depending on the model year, it might have come equipped with Mustang pillar pads, or it might just have painted metal to match the Mustang interior in place of those Mustang pillar pads. While Mustang pillar pads are mostly styling parts, they do play a role in safety. It might seem like an unlikely occurrence, but it is possible to bump your head in the area of the Mustang pillar pad as you're getting in and out of the Mustang door on your classic Mustang. If your Mustang doesn't have a Mustang pillar pad, that bump is going to hurt a lot worse than if the Mustang pillar pad is there to provide padding.

In earlier classic Mustangs, built up to late 1967/early 1968, the Mustang pillar pad was a standard item in your interior. It came in colors to match the Mustang upholstery and the rest of the interior, so it fit in perfectly and many owners found it to be a stylish addition to their car. However, in order to save money, Ford started phased out the Mustang pillar pads in late 1967 and early 1968, so some cars from those model years may have them, and others won't be equipped with Mustang pillar pads, as different factories ran out of their inventory quicker as Ford strove to use up remaining stock.

However, if the Mustang Pillar Pads in your 1964-1973 Mustang are worn out or non-existent, CJ Pony Parts offers new Mustang pillar pads for you to install in your Mustang. While some Mustang pillar pad options are available in factory colors, meaning all you need to do for installation is clip them in, others only come in black and will require you to paint them to match your interior, unless it's black. Check out these options and order today!
