Mustang SCT iTSX Wireless Tuning Programmer (1996-2014) Installation Instructions

Before installation, you must first download iTSX App from the Apple Store. Search: “iTSX” and proceed to download the free app and install on your device. Ensure your device is fully charged before beginning any tuning.

1. Once the iTSX application has installed, start the installation of your new Mustang SCT 4015 iTSX Wireless Tuning Programmer to locate vehicles ODB2 port under driver’s side dashboard and plug in iTSX Dongle with SCT logo facing you. Your Mustang must be off!

2. Now you’ll want to connect your Apple device to SCT iTSX Dongle via a Bluetooth connection.

3. SCT iTSX will be displayed under devices in Bluetooth screen.
4. Proceed to click on the SCT iTSX tab and pair dongle to device. Your device should say connected and now discoverable. Note: Once your device and dongle are paired, these units will be married and should be used together for future programing on the vehicle. It isn't recommended that you pair a second iOS device to the dongle.

5. To start working with the Mustang computer and programmer, start the SCT iTSX App from your device. Once the app is running, choose the “Program” icon from the list menu to start programming.

6. Confirm the “Start Programming” message. Note the "Return to Stock" icon to the right side, as this would be the saved location of your stock tune after you load your custom tune. You should always return the vehicle to a stock tune before replacing any of the pre-existing tunes with a new tune, or before bringing the vehicle to a dealership for any type of service.

7. Confirm pop up messages regarding the disclaimer about usage in the state of California.

8. Turn the key to the accessory position and wait as the SCT iTSX will perform a download of stock files and index of your current car settings.

9. Select an available tune from “Preloaded Tunes” by clicking on vehicle bar listed.

10. Proceed to adjust your tune further under “Options,” where you can change the settings for added upgrade options.
11. After refining “options,” proceed to approve settings for the Mustang computer and programmer.

12. Review settings and, if you’re satisfied with your choices, click “Send this to the vehicle.” After confirming, you will be requested to turn your key to the accessory on position. Note: Do not turn your Mustang off until your are requested to via a pop up. Do not disconnect the dongle, or power off your Apple device at this point! Once confirmed, you are committed to the actions on the screen and must allow the tune to be uploaded and completed, which should complete in three minutes.

13. After the Mustang SCT iTSX Wireless Tuning Programmer has completed installation, turn the key to the off position. Your new tune has been installed. Click “End Programming.” You may now start your Mustang and enjoy the added power and performance.

Final Notes: iTSX Dongle may be left in your vehicle's ODB2 Port for Live Gauges & Performance tests. If it's not being used for these two features, I would suggest unplugging and storing it in a safe place until needed.
Dealership Warning: Before taking your Mustang to the dealer's service department for any type of service or warranty work, you should first return the vehicle back to the stock configuration. Check engine warning lights can be reset by simply unplugging the battery cables from the battery for 5-10 minutes. Diagnostic trouble codes can also be read and cleared through the “Vehicle Info” menu.
