Set of NGK Spark Plugs V-Power Spark Plug for all 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 Mustangs with a 289, 302 or a 351W Engine.
V-Power spark plugs are a patented design from NGK Spark Plugs designed to improve ignitability and reduce quenching. Ignitability is improved by a V-groove that is cut in the center electrode parallel to the ground electrodes. This directs the spark to the edge of the center electrode thus exposing it to more of the air/fuel mixture at one time.
- Fits 289, 302 and 351W Engines
- V-Groove Design
- Direct Replacement
- Sold in a Set of Four
Please Note: These Spark Plugs are sold in a set of four, two sets are required per Mustang.
Quenching is reduced in much the same manner, the spark is drawn to the edge of the center and ground electrodes which reduces the surface area available to even attempt to quench the spark.
This spark plug set is a direct replacement for the old worn or burned out spark plugs you may still have in your 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 or 1973 Mustang. driving mustang '67- 6cyl 3.300cc loocking for NGK AP6F S spark plugs or replacement
what is the right gap needed for the 1972 ford mustang grande spark plugs?
What is the optimal gap for the NGK V-Power plugs for a 64.5 D-Code 289? The shop manual specifies 0.032 - 0.036 in. That seems like a wide range. Thank you.
