When you are rebuilding your rear drum brakes on your 1965-1973 Mustang don’t forget to pick up this rear shoe link. This rear shoe link gets mounted in-between the rear brake shoes and connects to the emergency brake lever just below the brake cylinder. This shoe link will work on all 1965-1973 Mustangs with a 6-cylinder engine.
This rear shoe link is manufactured out of high-grade steel just like the original link. The high quality shoe link will work on the driver and passenger side of your rear end. The shoe link will only work on 6-cylinder rear ends with the factory 9" Drum brake setup. If the rear brakes on your 1965-1973 Mustang where disassembled when you purchased it the proper length is just shy of 6 inches.
