Most of the Mustang forums recommend the 3M 8509 bedding and glazing compound because it's similar to the stuff Ford used back in the day and is Butyl and thus will not harden and will maintain a flexible seal between the windshield, gasket, and frame as designed. I was a bit freaked-out when I got my 2 tubes of this "CRL Window Weld" because the "window weld" I know about is 3M's product with is a firm-hardening urethane! I was within about 5 minutes of assuming that this was the same stuff and going down to NAPA to get their house butyl until I found the product description for this on CRL's web site that clearly stated that this is BUTYL just like the 3M glazing and bedding compound. I continued on with my windshield install and it went great but sticky and messy as all get out. This cleans up with mineral spirits so don't freak out if you get it all over the place. Also, it does set up a bit firmer after 24 hours but not hard like urethane. The 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the "window weld" sc
