Product Description

Russell Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hose Kit for 1965-1966 Ford Mustangs with Disc Brakes.

The kit comes complete with two front brake hoses and one rear hose. Direct bolt-on brake hoses bring the ultimate in braking performance. Replacing OE rubber hoses with Russell brake hoses reduces expansion for improved braking and a firmer pedal feel.

Factory assembled for an easy installation, these hoses feature stainless steel braided hose with zinc-plated fittings.

Fit Perfect On My '65
I bought these after reading another review, and then chatting with one of the CJ techs online. I have the OEM Kelsey-Hayes calipers on my '65 Fastback, and these lines fit perfectly! The caliper fitting is a 3/8-24 size, which is correct for an OEM caliper. These hoses will NOT fit anything beyond the 1965-1966 Mustangs, as shown in the part description. Also, beware of aftermarket disc brake conversions - unless the caliper takes a 3/8-24 fitting, these hoses will NOT fit. These hoses fit well and look good on my '65.

Russell Hose Kit
The quality and appearance are outstanding. Had it not been for one crucial detail the hose kit would have been perfect. Sadly, the threaded connectors that mate with the OEM calipers DON'T FIT!. The OEM uses a 7/16 fitting and Russell uses a 3/8 fitting. If you want to use this part, be prepared to purchase an adapter. By the way, Russell does not make a suitable adapter.
