Mustang Battery Tray 1965-1966
Battery Tray for 1965-1966 Mustangs.
Most battery trays need replacing due to prolonged exposure to acids and other elements. Check to see if your current battery tray needs replacing before installing a new battery. This tray is made from stamped steel and is a bolt in installation.
Be sure to check your battery apron located under your battery tray before you order replacement parts. In most cases battery acid will rust out the battery tray first and can potentially rust out the battery apron too. We do have a battery apron repair kit that includes the correct style group-24 battery tray, a brand new hold down clamp, and all the hardware for the clamp as well.

It's predrilled for all of the additional accessories, as well as including hardware, pre-drilled holes for your fender mounting brackets, your battery terminal rubber shield, starter solenoid, precut hole for your wiring harness, and pre-drilled for the battery tray mounting hardware.
Here you can see our battery apron installed on a 1965 Mustang Coupe. You can see it welds to the side of the shock tower, top of the frame rail down here, and welds into your radio support in the front. The battery tray is going to mount right here in the front corner.

A little rough around the edges
Inexpensive but a bit roughly made. I needed to file the sharp and jagged edges off of mine. Better than the acid eaten original though!
Some what rough, paint is blisting, will need to repainted before installed, not the nices place of work.
