We’re here with a replacement convertible top motor. This convertible top motor’s going to mount to the factory bracket on your 1964 through 1993 Mustang. It’s going to use the factory hardware but comes with new isolators, as well as a new wiring harness. You want to make sure you use automatic transmission fluid only for the fluid in this system. If you use brake fluid or hydraulic fluid, you can damage the pumps and the cylinders. There’s a drain right on the back of the motor. When filling it, fill only to the bottom of the drain. Make sure you don’t over fill it. You’ll want it on a flat surface when you’re filling it as well. Once you fill up the convertible top motor, you’ll want to put the top up and down three to four times and then recheck your fluid level. If you can still hear the convertible top motor working but that top is not going up and down, you probably want to check the cylinders before replacing the motor.
