Great hood lift bad instructions would have been 5++

The quality of all parts are great and the lift has enough power to work on a 3" cowl induction hood. I am sure every aftermarket hood is slightly different so do not drill your holes until you lay the rod in position and try to close hood. On my hood 27 1/2 " from back edge was too far and caused problems. 26.5" would have been perfect and would have lifted hood as high or higher than Ford prop rod. I also had to relocate bracket for Ford racing inter cooler tank. Wish I had at least taped the hood bracket in place first to see that the hood would not close. Now it works perfect so at least try 26.5" first.
