Borgeson 3/4"-DD X 3/4"-36 Steel Coupler for 1965-1967 Mustangs.
Using a 2” straight extension, called a coupler, to extend the steering box, rack and pinion shaft or the column shaft, can sometimes eliminate a universal joint along the steering column. Use this Borgeson steel coupler to attach 1965-1967 ididit steering columns to factory long shaft steering boxes in 1965-1967 Mustangs.
Coupler Specifications:
- 3/4"-DD side attaches to steering shaft
- 3/4"-36 spline side attaches to steering column
*Can be used for ididit part number 300031349.

BORGESON COUPLER STEEL 3/4"-DD X 3/4"-36 1965-1967
I did the power steering conversion on my 1964 falcon. The steering box and fluid lines worked flawlessly, but the coupler became loose after just a few drives. The steering wheel popped up from the column about a half inch as I was adusting the seat. It went back down to it's correct position, but is now in need of some adustment. I sudder to think if it were to decouple completely while I were driving.
