Built with all new parts, this short block is the foundation of Ford Racing's 500 hp @ 7100 rpm (SAE Correction) 331 cubic inch 500 hp Boss Crate Engine (FRPP# M-6007-Z331P).

331 Short Block Features:
- BOSS 4-bolt main block with 8.5" deck height (M-6010-BOSS302)
- .005" below piston to deck height nominal
- Mahle forged aluminum 4.125" bore pistons with valve reliefs for Z304, N351, GT-40 and other inline valve Windsor cylinder heads.
- 7cc effective dome volume, check valve to piston clearance
- Eagle 3.100" stroke forged steel crank
- Eagle Forged steel H beam connecting rods with floating pin
- Hydraulic roller camshaft compatible
- Neutral balance rotating assembly
- Assembled and ready for your heads, cam and timing chain set

Recommended cylinder head fasteners: M6065BOSS head bolts, M6014BOSS studs or M6014Z304 studs, depending on application.

*Designed for M-6049-X306//X307/C3/D3/Z304DA cylinder heads, Not designed for production 302/351W or M-6049-Y302/Y303/X302/X303/X304/X305 cylinder heads.
