Ford Racing Intake Manifold for 4.6L 2V 1996-2004 Mustang GTs.

This is the production plastic intake manifold used on 2001-04 4.6L SOHC 2V Mustang GTs. It is very common for the original intake on 1999-2004 GTs to crack.

When doing a PI head swap on a 1996-1998 GT this is a less expensive alternative to aftermarket performance intake manifolds for the PI head swap. Additional modifications and parts required when doing the swap on a 1996-1998 GT.

This was easy to install, it needs to either suggest ordering the gasket set at the time of purchase or come with the gasket set. They should also include the torque specs and order. The product itself was great!

I bought this to replace the original one on my 2000 GT. They have improved the intake with aluminum coolant runner and thermostat housing where they use to crack and leak the most. However, mine broke where the heater hose attaches to the back of the intake. They did not change that and left it plastic. And its not a fitting, its molded into the intake, so if it ever breaks again I have to replace the entire intake AGAIN. Problem 2, no instructions with the intake, like torque specs and etc.

This intake manifold was a must over the stock crappy one with the plastic coolant crossover. Perfect fit and easy install. Like always thanks cjponyparts for the fast shipping and great customer service support!
