This mirror feels and looks very superior, every part of the mirror is made out of metal including the base. At first when I saw the mirror I thought that there is a crack in the downside of the rubber, but its not and comes with that line below the rubber from the factory. This is how the factory puts rubbers on these show mirrors. It even show the line in the rubber in the picture if looked closely. But investing in this mirror gives quality to your classic pony' in which it deserves.
The show quality mirrors are a must! I have purchased mirrors twice before for my 66' Mustang and was not happy over time. These are perfect, and you can tell instantly that they are a better quality then the other manufacturers put out. Oh yeah, always use the stainless steel hardware when you mount these! (no rust)
