COMP Cams Magnum 280HR Camshaft Set with a 2500 to 6000 RPM Range for 1985-1995 Mustangs with Carbureted 5.0L Engines.

Available with camshaft only, camshaft and lifers, small kit or complete kit.

This hydraulic roller camshaft will fit Ford 5.0 Liter engines from 1985-2001.

Magnum cams generate great high RPM power. The can be used with mild ratio rocker arms and traditional performance valve springs as they are easy on valve train parts. These camshafts like compression ratios of 9.5:1 and higher. A torque converter and gear change is really needed. The larger Magnum cams are a little lazy at low RPMs.

This camshaft is best for a street machine and limited high performance street use. Best used with a 5-speed, 3.40 to 4.10 gears, aftermarket intake, and headers. A higher stall torque converter is required.
