Seat Track Extenders 1979-2004
Mustang Seat Track Extenders 1979-2004
If your 5'10" or taller, then you know that driving your 1979-2004 Mustang with your knees banging against the dash is no fun, especially on long trips. Now you can stretch out with 4.5 extra inches (3.0 inches on convertibles) of leg room and enjoy the ride.
Fits either the driver side or passenger side seat, manual or power. Includes hardware and installation instructions. Sold in a pair to do one seat.
Installation:
1) Unbolt your factory seat from the floor. Leave the factory seat track bolted to the seat.
2) Bolt the seat track extenders to the factory mounting location using the original hardware.
3) Reinstall your seat by mounting your factory seat track to the seat track extender with the included hardware.

Seat track Height
I installed these on a 90 Mustang. I am 6'3". I thought they would be great, but they actually made the seat height about 1/2 inch higher and without tilt, they make the ergonomics wrong. I took them back out.
Changed the car for me
I am 6'5" and puchased a 2000 Roush Stage 2 based on the fact that these would work. They are incredible. Easy installation and moves the seat all the way back to the rear seats. I even had to move them forward a tad. Completely changed the car for me and I am no longer a sardine. One caveat - if you are real tall you probably have long arms which you will need for the shifter. Not a problem just an observation. CJ sent these quickly and easily. Happy Camper!!
raised seat up to high
They were easy to install and did move the seat back so my legs were not all cramped up but it put my head in the roof, I took them back out and I am 6ft.2in. tall, friend of mine is 5ft.6in tried the seat and said it was perfect for him. CJpony sent them quickly no problem there..
