Sequential taillights are a perfect compliment to the retro styling of the 2005-2009 Mustang. When the brake is applied the lights will sequence once from inboard to outboard, then remain illuminated until the brake pedal is released.
This advanced engineered system uses brand new harnesses and sockets with a pre-programmed microprocessor that controls timing for optimum performance. It has been moisture tested and cycle tested for quality results.
Comes complete with simple "Plug and Play" wiring and instructions, no splicing needed. Extremely easy to install with solid state electronics for long-lasting reliability.
For this installation, we need a quarter inch ratchet, 11 mm deep socket and a small pick. The installation requires us to pull the taillight bodies off the car. The first step is to remove these plastic trim panels from inside the trunk. Start by unthreading this one here. To pop these clips out, we need a small pick. Pull up and put the panel aside. Now, you want to disconnect the taillight harness by pushing down on the clip and simply sliding it upward. Now were going to remove the three retaining nuts holding the taillight to the body. I’m going to push the harness through down here. I’m going to carefully push against the studs of the taillights to remove our taillight.
Once you have the taillight removed, you want to remove the original harness by turning the sockets and pulling them outward. Now we’re going to remove our bulbs so we can put them into the new harness. The bulbs will just press into place, and now we’re ready to install the harness back in the housing.
The sockets are numbered; you want to make sure you have one on the inside and three on the outside. Now we’re ready to reinstall it back on our car. You reinstall the same way you took it out. Fish the harness through first. You want to make sure you get the harness pushed through and seated before you put the taillight up into place. Now were going to reinstall the retaining nuts. Make them snug, you don’t want to crank too tight on them. Once you bolt the taillight back in, make sure the harness is seated properly here in the grommet and plug it back in.
Once everything is installed and wired up again, we’re going to want to test our lights. Once everything’s good, you’re going to want to put your trunk back together, and your installation is complete. Our Sequential Taillight Kit looks great on the back of our ‘06 Mustang and installation couldn’t be easier. Figure on no more than 30 minutes; you’ll be back on the road in no time.

So Easy A Caveman could do it!
Installation is straight forward & simple with common hand tools. Only caution is is handling bulbs when changing out harness as to not get oil from fingers on them or they will be short lived. Recommend gloves or cloth for handling. These sequential taillights ad an awesome visual enhancement to your stang that will draw many comments & from the attention may prevent a rear end collision. Definately worth the money.

Looks great just like a new generation "Stang(or an old Shelby). Removing the trim and reinstalling the grommets was the most trouble. The harness is plug and play. I saw no advantage (for me) in the more expensive programmable unit and this one was on sale. Real nice touch for my Triple Black 2009 GT convertible.

Easy of installation and dependability.
The installation is very easy and the harnesses are clearly identified. Installed over a year ago and have experience no problems to date. The distinctive and subtleness of the flashing (braking and turning) is desired.
easy install even with Shaker 1000 system
installation was only about 15 minutes and the car has the Shaker 1000 system. Works great and add that special touch.
