does no work to good with horns it breaks all the spring off hangs up an breaks the plastic they are mounted in
I bought this wheel to replace my old beat up wheel and because all the horn pieces were missing. It looks great. It was easy to install the wheel, but the horn connections are not set up right. We have worked on it several times and still cannot get it to work. I would think for the price, it would come ready to plug and play.
I was really impressed with the quality of this wheel I thought. The installation was so easy, it took me longer to get the old wheel off than it did to put it on and it worked well. I thoght I would have to replace springs or something but installation was a snap. Keep up the good work and great customer support.
This wheel looks good and functions well. I bought it to replace a cracked standard wheel and horn ring. The cost of this kit was competive with the standard reproduction parts. My issue is an original wood grain wheel should have 18 dots in the rim, this part only has 17 dots!
This repop of the 65-66 woodgrain steering wheel does look very nice, however like most other imported reproductions, it doesn't function well. The 2 horn contacts are made of a lighter material than the original, so they bend easily. The outer contact has 3 metal points that extend thru, creating a clicking noise when they contact the brushes in the turn signal switch. I ended up replacing both the inner and outer contact units with some originals that I saved from an old Ford wheel. My advice is that if you don't have an old wheel for parts, don't buy this one!
It is unfortunate that most foreign made reproduction parts for Mustangs are still poorly made. But what is more unfortunate is that the vendors selling this stuff allow it to continue
