Original Style Carpet Underlayment for 1965-1970 Mustangs.
If you are working on an interior restoration and are planing to replace your carpet, you really should invest in carpet underlayment. Installing underlayment under your new carpet will give you a much better fit. Carpet underlayment is also highly effective as a sound deadener, temperature barrier and vibration dampener.
This original style, four piece Mustang carpet underlayment covers the front & rear floor pans as well as the transmission hump. Die cut to fit perfectly. Also features an asphalt layer with needled cotton backing, just like the original underlayment.

The brown side goes up!
Easy to install, but had to search all over the internet to make sure I installed it the right way. The black smooth side goes down against the floorpanels. The brown, paper side goes up, touching the carpet over it. A little sunlight and/or heat will help you shape it better to the floor. Its VERY fragile. handle with care! Two persons at least, or it will break.
