I initially started out with plans to section in the rotted out left side of my inner cowl. l removed the old rotted panel and began to try and section in the new premium repair panel only to realize that the replacement panel was not install ready and would require me to make major modifications to get it to fit properly. These modifications would include figuring out how to drill out and remount the wiper arm plate in precisely the correct spot, move and add a vent stud and cut out and remount two flush mounted nuts onto the new panel. To be honest it was beginning to get a bit over whelming and disheartening.
I thought about my problem for a while and decided to go a different route and ordered the entire inner cowl panel. Much to my delight it came today ready to go. I just need to line up the guide holes and weld it in. Yes it cost an additional $100 over the cost of the right and left repair panels, but I have saved much more in time and aggravation savings.
