Same experience as Johnny; most of them failed as I was trying to use them. had a few others that I could use from another kit, so I made it work. spring is anchored by pot metal. is this the best we can come up with?
Ever remove a part and the first thing that comes to your mind is "what were they thinking?" Don't even think about removing the front trim from a vintage mustang and expect to get it back on using the original fasteners. Just assume that you need these. These aren't the most substantial you might imagine and reinstalling them might be a gamble, but they're a whole lot better than what came on the car.
Spring steel snapped while installing into the molding. On the bright side, another bag was sent out pronto that worked.
