These do require modification for cars with torque boxes. And the contours around the top where it meets the firewall were not particularly close for my 69, especially around the steering column firewall mount and speedo cable opening. It required a lot of hammer/dolly work in that area. The outer edge (left side on a drivers toe-board) has a lip that is bent frontwards that will have to be reversed or simply cut off to fit over where the upper torque box meets the rocker. Also, easiest to cut it in half to do the work. Leave as much good metal on your car as possible and just trim the new toe-board to replace only the damaged areas, which for me were the area immediately between the upper torque box piece and the toe-board.
