This was a breeze to install. The sluggishness is gone and once I lowered the idle my 67 sounds and runs perfect. Also added the Flamethrower (3 Ohm), another easy install, just wish it was a yellow top like stock.
Be sure you check on the petronix site catalog to make sure this is the one you need. The CJPP Descriptor about a thermactor is very misleading. This model (1261) is for 6 cylinders with the Autolite (like mine) or Motocraft distributor too. Ford switched to the Holley when parts ran out at the plants.
But the quick of it is if you take of your distributor rotor cap, take off the rotor "dizzy", and look at the center post. If it is a "C" shape on top, this is a Autolite (or Motorcraft) you need this model. If it is a "D" shape (with a flat solid center were the rotor is you need the other version for a Holley post (go with a 1266).
If you havent switched... You should! Thanks CJPP!
