Removing your original weatherstrip can be a little bit of a challenge. If you look down here there's actually a metal channel that goes all the way up the glass that the weatherstrip slides down into. Over time, it will be difficult to get the slide out.
We're going to start by trying to pull upward. Sometimes you get lucky and it will come out easily. If not, pretty much have to rip it off the window. We're going to start at the top and pull the corners up. I'm going to grab some pliers and I'm going to grip on the bottom here. You almost want to pull and twist.
We're going to spray some WD-40 on the new piece. Now let's spray some in the channel. We line up the slot on the new weatherstrip in the channel here. You may have to slowly work it down and get the top in. Now we have a proper seal between our two side windows. There really are no tools necessary for this installation. A pair of pliers and a pick can help if the weatherstrip gets stuck like ours did. Installation should take you no more than about half an hour. You'll be back on the road in no time.
