Product Features:
- Allows for sufficient air flow which is the important factor in heat dissipation
- Available in a smooth design or with a running pony logo
- High temp ABS material will regularly tolerate temperatures up to 250 degrees
- Includes heat shield barrier insulation panels

These pre-cut kits come molded and ready to install in your Mustang. AcoustiHood Under Trunk Covers include heat shield barrier insulation panels to protect painted surfaces and to reduce the vibration and noise produced by these large body panels from entering the passenger cabin. These under trunk cover kits will help insulate and regulate air flow in the hatch area of your Fox Body Mustang.

This under trunk cover requires removal of the plastic panel under the hatch of your Mustang. The QuietRide Solutions panel will then install in this area, displaying either the smooth design cover or the running pony logo and Mustang insignia.

AcoustiHood products are available in a couple variations: Smooth Hood Covers are designed for customers who want to retain an OEM restoration look to their trunk compartment. There is no logo on the smooth trunk covers. Additionally, there is another option for a running pony logo. The running pony option has the Mustang running horse with the word "Mustang" underneath it.

These Under Trunk Cover Kits are perfect for restoration projects, show cars, or daily drivers. QuietRide Solutions truly has perfected the art of under hood and trunk panels. Premium quality materials are utilized for these kits and proper fitment is guaranteed.

QuietRide Solutions Under Trunk Cover Kit AcoustiHood 1999-2004 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality - not a very easy intallation There are precious few trunk lid liner solutions out there for the 94 to 04 Mustangs an most will cost you. This was reasonably priced, but I was a little taken aback when I unwrapped it as it was evident pretty quick that this was NOT going to be an easy install. The installation instructions are also somewhat lacking, so I'll provide a few pointers down below. This and the Under Hood Solution both really require the hood and trunk lid to be removed. In addition to removing the trunk lid, you'll also need to remove the trunk lock. To get this to install properly, you really need some help. I did manage it largely by myself, but it's not easy. It really requires a few sets of hands because the ABS plastic piece is one flat sheet - it's not molded. You have to bend it to shape. There also is no mention of what to do with the wiring harness that goes to the lock and third brake light. And pray you never have to work on the third brake light (I just replaced mine with an LED one from CJ's just before this) because it's impossible to get at afterwards. There is a quick disconnect for the wiring harness in the left rear fender. You can leave the harness attached to the trunk lid. Then you will have to remove the trunk lock. Once you do that, the easiest way I found to do it was align the upper right corner on the "top" of the trunk (not on the lip) with the area it's supposed to fasten. Do the same on the other side and then drill the two holes. You have to drill ALL the holes for the Under Trunk Solution. But drill those two first. Then you can pin it down, but it will still have a little wiggle room. Now, it's going to push back a little big. You're going to kind of need to shove it up until it aligns as it's supposed to and then drill the hole in the lower corner, the one closest to where the hinges bolt up (like I said, you need a lot of arms). Once you do that, move to the otherside and then do the same thing. Then reconnect all the wires and the cable on the trunk lock and bolt it back in place using the two top bolts. You'll need to drill an extra hole in the ABS piece if you want to bolt in the third bolt. This also helps align the remaining pieces. Then you can drill the remaining holds and put in the remaining fasteners. This would be a LOT easier installation with a couple of people. It's not as straightforward as it looks going in, for sure. But once done, it's well worth the effort. Be prepared to have fiberglass stuff everywhere. And as you'll see from the pictures, mine is still a little dirty. But overall a nice addition to the Mustang. Takes some work, but worth it. And the company provides everything you need, even the sleeve for the 1/4" drill bit. I'd say it was well thought out, but for the instructions.
