Radiator 3-Row Aluminum 289 1965-1966 is rated 4.571428571428571 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade Great upgrade, clean look. Live in AZ so a must have with AC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from improved engine cooling Living in FL, and having to drive in rush hour traffic at times, was a challenge for the original radiator in my '66. A hole the old one prompted the switch. This new aluminum radiator looks great and my temp gauge needle appears to peg at the thermostat setting even in traffic. I bough brass plug fittings for the transmission cooling ports just because it looked more finished.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Awesome This is the first review I have written for a product on CJ Pony Parts. The radiator installed easily and with no modification. It is a little thicker than the stock radiator. I have a 289 with a fan clutch and there was about a half inch of clearance once everything was installed. I had cooling problems with my car but this fixed it. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good radiator I bought this radiator a month ago and it is a good buy. I had to drill the installation holes slightly more to get it to fit but otherwise no problem. I have ran it in the Arizona summer heat and temp gauge is a little over mid range compared to stock radiator where it was pretty much red line!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't bother. Get the Scott Drake 2 core This rad does not cool any better than the original and is very thick. Too thick to get anything larger than a 14" thermo fan in. Also the cap that came with this did not hold any pressure and leaked all the time. Don't waste your time or money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal for better performance and looks Perfect fit for normal flow. I dropped a 302 stroker with this 3 core and no shrowd cover and keeps the car cool in California weather. I'll have to wait until peak summer hits but I don't expect it to over heat with the 3 core.

Product Questions

I have this radiator and my 65 still is a challenge on a really hot day. What electric fan will mount to this radiator?

Asked by: DEPONY
P/N: FAN9 would be a good option but you would want P/N: EFR2 relay to wire it up. P/N: FAN41 is an option that does not require additional wiring.
