Product Description

Driver Side Full Rear Frame Rail without Torque Box for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Convertible Mustangs.

Replace your rusted frame rails with our high-quality reproduction full rear frame rail. Rear frame rails extend from the rear of the Mustang up to the rear torque box. The frame rail is the base for your rear suspension as the leaf spring attaches to the frame. Frame rails are a good sheet metal piece to replace when you are restoring a Mustang with structural damage or if there are high amounts of rust.

Many major restorations will require frame patches or full replacement frame rails. When you have no other choice than to replace the frame rail, only use high quality sheet metal parts such as this rear frame rail. An experienced mechanic skilled in metal work should install a rear frame rail. Rear suspension components mount to the frame rail so it must be installed perfectly for your Mustang to drive correctly.

*Does not include driver side rear torque box. Rear torque box is available separately or on our complete full rear frame rails.

Product Questions

How is fitment? Can this be installed with little to no modification? I want direct fit replacement.

Asked by: exp4x4v6
That's hard to say without knowing the condition of your Mustang. If there's enough damage to require frame rail replacement, that often means there are other areas that need attention, which might make installation a little more involved. That being said, it's designed to be a direct fit for the Mustangs listed.
