Will these fit a RHD GT for Australia?
Hi, will these hood struts can be installed on a Canadian Ecoboost 2016 Mustang. I do not know if the car has the hood safety feature.
Please let me know what shipment to Germany would cost. best regards
will these fit a stock 2015 GT hood with the Rousch hood scoop installed?
Does fitting this kit affect the active hood safety feature at all? Not sure if the US models have this but the Australian/European models do.
I need a price in Australian dollars as well as freight cost to Sydney NSW Zip Code 2111 , I would like to order these Redline Tuning Hood Strut Kit 2016 for my new 2015 Mustang GT once you can confirm total cost AU Dollars Martin
I see that the Plus Kit has more substantial hood brackets than the Stainless Model. When will the Stainless Struts be available with the improved hood brackets?
Does the kit come with that drill bit shown in the picture? Thanks.

For my car I'm going to be going with the Quick Lift Elite kit. We've already showed you the Quick Lift Plus which comes with the black gas shocks. In the case of the elite, it upgrades you to stainless steel. Comes with the two shocks and all four brackets for installation. We've already showed you how to install these on a previous car, but there's been a couple of questions about a few steps so we're going to run through it one more time.
For this installation we're going to need a 3/8 ratchet, 10mm socket, 13mm socket, drill and a 3/4 step or standard drill bit.
The driver's side hood strut's easier to install so we're going to show you the passenger side. The first step is to remove the bolt from the top of the hinge.
These are a pain, so you want to be careful when removing them. The brackets are side specific. You want to make sure this notch here goes on the top and rests on the top of the hood hinge.
The lower bracket for the hood strut's going to mount right here behind the fender. The hole for it is actually underneath this battery cover, so you have to drill a hole.
Red Line included this template. Here's how you install it. Just start by unthreading the pushpin and you're actually going to remove the entire pushpin assembly, both pieces, put the bottom through the template and put the pushpin back in place. What you do is you kind of want to turn this to match the body line that's on here.
Put a little starter hole right there. Now you're going to remove all three of the pushpins and remove the battery cover to drill a hole.
Once you have the battery cover off, we're going to take the pilot hole and open it up to 3/4 of an inch. The fender brackets are going to go in this hole right here.
What you want to do is thread this red retainer just about as far down as it can and still holding on, you'll put it in this opening and tighten down the bolt.
The retainer actually has a raised section that's the exact size as the opening so once you get that seated you pull up on the bolt and tighten down.
Once the brackets are installed we can re-install our battery cover. You want to install the stainless steel hood struts with the body facing towards the hood. Clip it on and you want to push the hood up. Repeat the process on the other side.
The last step which is optional, but in my opinion finishes off the installation, remove the factory prop rod. Your installation's finished.
All right. Let's try them out. That's the way it should have worked from Ford. The stainless steel hood struts look great and the quality of construction means they're going to last a long time as well.
Not having the prop rod gives us a lot more room to work on the engine if you plan on doing a lot of them in the near future. Installation will take you no more than about a half an hour so you'll be back on the road in no time. For this and other 2015 install videos make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel.
