Product Description

Redline Tuning QuickLIFT Elite Hood Strut Kit for all 1979-1998 Mustangs.

Replace your stock hood prop rod with the QuickLIFT Elite hood strut system from Redline Tuning. You'll love the additional engine bay access you will gain with Redline Tuning's QuickLIFT system installed. Made from the highest quality components, this is their latest design utilizing a patented end-fitting for the fender mounting point making them very easy to install.

Redline Tuning's QuickLIFT system moves the hood lift pivots close to the hinge, freeing up valuable access to the engine bay and keeping you from the painful falling hood when you accidentally bump the prop rod from its mount! Modify your Mustang today and throw away your prop rod for good.

-Black powder-coated zinc-plated mounting hardware (black in color)
-Full-color installation manual

Redline Tuning QuickLIFT Elite Hood Strut Kit 1979-1998 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Another excellent purchase from CJPony. I purchased the Elite Red Line Hood Struts. The instructions are good and easy to read my SN95 has a plastic Hood so no need to centre punch prior to drilling, but be so carefull when drilling as it soon slips through the plastic. The Hood supports were easy but I hit a tiny problem when you fit the bottom brackets an inch is tight to fit the Strut on, so I drilled and fitted the bracket with one fixing clipped on the Strut then drilled and fitted the second hole. I think my car is a bit out on the wing as the Strut touched one of the wing bolts so I reduced the bolt head on the wing with a hack saw Perfect. Went to a local USA car meet everyone was impressed. So much more room and works and looks good. Si

Product Questions

Why does my hood moved forward and the left rear corner is up a hair.

Asked by: victoria2
The installation of these hood struts wouldn't cause the placement of your hood to move. The hood is firmly attached to your Mustang via the hood hinges - an adjustment must have been made to those for it to shift.
