Product Description

Ridetech Level 1 Complete Air Suspension System for 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Mustangs.

Upgrade your classic Mustang with the ultimate suspension kit from Ridetech. The level 1 system equips your Mustang with RQ Series ShockWaves at all four corners. Front ShockWaves bolt to factory control arms but Ridetech's StrongArm tubular control arms can be installed for proper shock placement. This kit includes a bolt-on 4-link setup to accomodate the rear ShockWaves. The 4-link will position the rearend more precisely and eliminate the flexing and instability of the leaf spring setup. With the level 1 air system, you gain 4-way independent control of the air springs. Air is held in a three gallon tank and moved with a RidePro valve body. Included analog gauges and electronic switches provide easy and accurate control.

- Bolt-on 4-link rear suspension
- RidePro compressor/control system
- Front and rear ShockWaves

Ridetech's bolt-on 4-link bolts directly into the OEM leafspring mounts. Only four small tabs need welded to the axle for the two upper bars. Ridetech's 4-link system uses pre-engineered mounting hardware to maintain ground clearance, driveline angles, tire clearance and load capacities. The ride height is typically lowered by approximately two inches. Instead of a wallowing soft ride, you'll experience a crisp, controlled ride that will inspire more confidence for performance driving. Ride quality and performance is dramatically improved over stock.

The ShockWave system will lower the vehicle from the factory ride height and provides the ability to go even lower when not being driven by lowering the air pressure. Typically, a vehicle can be lowered approximately five to six inches beyond the stock ride height. ShockWaves are air bags that mount just like a coilover and replace both the coil springs, leaf springs and shock absorbers. The RQ Series ShockWave utilizes fixed shock valving and is meant for unequalled ride quality. The air bags simply bolt-in and retain all the factory mounting points while eliminating tire clearance problems. Anodized billet aluminum shock bodies feature proven patented sealing technology which will last for years of reliable service.

The basic analog compressor system is outfitted with a single compressor and three gallon tank. Controlling the ShockWaves is Ridetech's RidePro control system. This kit gives you four wheel independent control and includes two dual needle gauges for monitoring air pressure.

If you want your classic muscle car to ride and drive like a modern performance car, the complete air suspension system is the perfect solution. Ridetech thoroughly tests all of their components before releasing them to the public. The cars are regularly used in a wide range of performance driving environments along with normal highway time. With multiple suspension parts and setups available, Ridetech has something to offer for the weekend cruiser to road race warrior, and everything in between.

Is this kit a direct bolt in for a 1969 Mach 1? I would like to do the install myself, is there any special tools or welding required?
