Product Description

Ridetech Level 2 Complete Coilover Suspension System for 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970 Mustangs.

Ridetech doesn't just sell air suspension. They have become a quick leader in the industry by offering all types of suspension parts and kits. Ridetech coilovers provide the ultimate ride quality, handling performance and simplicity. HQ (Handling Quality) shocks are a step up from the RQ (Ride Quality) shocks. HQ shocks feature a different internal design and adjustability. Choose a soft or firm ride by adjusting a knob with 26 clicks. A bolt-on 4-link setup replaces the outdated leaf springs. The StrongArm tubular control arms improve suspension geometry and handling.

Kit Includes:
- HQ Coilover Kit
- StrongArms
- Bolt-on 4-Link Rear Suspension

Superior fade free performance and great ride quality comes from the mono-tube shock construction. Oil leakage is eliminated by use of a double sealed rod guide with a dust cover. A 1.834" piston dampens suspension travel when moved by a 5/8" chrome shock shaft. Easy adjustment comes from a height adjuster equipped with a unique clamp and finer threads. There is no set screw to ruin threads on the shock body. Includes CNC machined billet hardware and 1/2" bore x 1" kevlar lined bearings for noise free operation.

Ridetech uses high quality 2-1/2" coil springs made right in Indiana by HyperCo. HyperCo uses CNC'd cold wound high tensile premium steel. This lessens weight, resists bowing and increases travel. Ridetech engineers the spring rates to help your car handle to the best of its abilities.

To improve suspension geometry and handling Ridetech created their StrongArm tubular control arms. StrongArms are jig welded with .219" wall DOM tubing for proper fit and long lasting strength and reliability. Optimized ball joint angle ensures no binding during extreme suspension travel. StrongArms are required for proper coilover placement. A black powder coated finish creates lasting appearance and protection.

Ridetech's bolt-on 4-link setup typically lowers a Mustang's ride height by approximately two inches. Lowering a vehicle's center of gravity provides better handling and cornering performance by helping prevent body roll. This new stance will not only increase handling aspects, but also give your Mustang a great stance. The 4-link bars offer more precise positioning of the rear axle to eliminate flexing and increase stability through corners. Standard polyurethane bushings fight deflection while decreasing a harsh ride and road noise.

Ridetech Complete Coilover Suspension System Level 2 1967-1970 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, beautiful workmanship I bought this product in November of 2014 and it is better looking and higher quality then I could have hoped for. The machine work and fit and finish are excellent. I cant wait to finish installing so I can put on my wheels and see the new lower stance on my 69 convertible, going to be sweet. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants to improve your ride and stance on your mustang.

Product Questions

Will this kit work with a 9" rear end? Can it be made to work with a 8.8" swap as well?

Asked by: maxamuslone
This will work with the 9 inch rear. With the correct size u bolts and installation of leaf spring pads it could be made to work with an 8.8 rear.

One more: Does the kit require new drop spindles, or will work with the factory set? For my prior question on ride height, are these height reductions assuming you're using the factory spindles. Appears the car in your pic is using drop spindles?

Asked by: karimbo

I have a 69 fastback with a 302. Couple questions: 1) From factory ride height, what's the minimum and maximum drop, front and rear for this kit? 2) Assume this kit is made to work with all the factory mounting locations? Any drilling or cutting?
