This conversion kit from Rod & Custom Motorsports features everything you need for a proper conversion on your vintage Pony, including a new crossmember with upper spring & shock mounts. You'll also receive a brand new four piece complete upper and lower tubular a-arm set that comes with mounting hardware, along with new spindles that are factory height.
The manual rack in this kit comes with all of the bushings and mounting hardware that you'll need, as well as a pair of complete tie rod ends. The set of engine mounts are completely prothane polyurethane and are specifically designed for your 4.6:-5.4L modular engine, including the popular 5.0 Coyote.
The kit's sway bar is 1" with a powder coated finish and includes all of the mounting brackets, mounting hardware, end links, prothane bushings and fasteners that you'll need. The steering hook-up kit within this assembly comes with a new rack joint, column joint, rack-to-column shaft and a column modification kit if you have an OE column. Rod & Custom makes sure that the springs and shocks you receive are rated to your classic Mustang's application.

What you order this conversion kit, you'll be required to provide your Mustang's year and engine size. You'll also have the option of picking which type of brake kit you want with your conversion, including brakes with plain rotors or ones that are slotted & drilled. A Wilwood brake option is also provided that features an 11" Dynalite 4-piston kit with black calipers. The calipers themselves are forged four piston aluminum and the rotors are 11" drilled and slotted two-piece vented. Wilwood Dynalite Calipers allow you to use smaller diameter wheels.
Wheel and Tire Fitment Notes:
- For optimum tire clearance CJ Pony Parts strongly recommends no wider than a 7” wheel
- A 7” wide wheel will need to have 4” to 4-1/2” of backspacing
- An 8” wide wheel is possible, but must have custom backspacing
- All 15”, 16” and 17” wheels are acceptable and recommended
- Some 14” wheels will fit with this kit, however most will not
*This is available for V8 engines ONLY, as Rod & Custom Motorsports does not have motor mounts for the inline 6-cylinder engines.
*A rear sump oil pan is required with this kit.
Warning: This kit will NOT work with 14" or 15" 1965-1967 styled steel wheels, as the hub portion of the rotor will not fit within the wheel.

Tech Tip: Please check the diagram in the installation instructions for 15" wheel fitment.
