I considered various manufacturers axel back kits before ordering the Roush product. I selected the Roush as they claimed little droning in the cabin and it comes with new clamps making it unnecessary to cut the clamps off the stock system. With it installed I was disappointed in the sound. It is extremely "Raspy" under normal acceleration and makes me feel like a target. As long as I take off very easily and keep my foot out of it it's not too bad, but I wish it were quieter. Part of the problem may be that this is the first V6 I have installed a system on so my comparison is to V8's shich in my opinion have a much more mellow tone. I am still evaluating whether to leave the system on or put the stock mufflers back on.
it's great sound and on time thx Pony
Amazing sound.. simply wow!! That was a drastic change on my v6 mustang.. loving it!!!
I got the Roush exhaust because I wanted my car to sound better at idle and every now and then when I just wanted to hammer down. Sounds deep, and has a great growl to it. But trust me, when you step on it; it doesn't growl, it roars. The package was delivered flawless and nicely packed. Only took me 35 min to install it, due to the thorough instructions. Thank you very much guys!
Bought mine from a dealer 3 days ago and installed it in a 2014 V6. Installation was easy; took 25 minutes to install. Looks nice. Does give the feeling of a V8. It is loud. When doing hard acceleration or revving it sounds great. However, when doing moderate acceleration, it does not sound that great and has some drone while cruising. Overall, I am pleased with its performance and would certainly recommend it.
Sounds good at Idle and start up low rumble and when you plant it...... nice and loud sounds like POWER!
After reviewing others reviews I decided to take the plunge and try them. They are just right. Yes they are loud, but now I love hearing my first auto trans car (in 30 years) shift. Sounds amazing. Highly recommend them.
This exhaust setup sounds amazing. The tone in and out of the car is just great. Quick and easy installation. Put mine on in less than half an hour.
I ordered the Rousch Axle Back Exhaust 1 week after I ordered my 2013 Mustang Gt Premium. The package arrived before the car...when my car finally came in, my husband installed the exhaust on day 2 of ownership (he said it was an easy installation, although he is a mechanic). I must say I am very pleased with the sound. My GT now sounds like it should. I get alot of looks with the great sound of the exhaust and a hot car. I would definately recommend these to everyone. It is not overly aggressive, but gets the point across.
