Product Description

Scott Drake 14" Round Aluminum Finned Air Cleaner Assembly for all 1965, 1966, 1967,1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975,1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985 Mustangs with a 2V or 4V Carbureted Engine.

This brand new 14" Round Aluminum Finned Air Cleaner Assembly from Scott Drake is a great way to improve the appearance of the engine compartment in your 1965-1985 V8 Mustang with a 2V or 4V carbureted engine. Constructed in two pieces of premium-quality aluminum, this air cleaner assembly provides a durable yet attractive polished aluminum finish, giving you a piece of equipment that looks great and will give your years of performance.

This Air Cleaner Assembly give your 1965-1985 Mustang an even more clean "old school" look with its lack of a visible mounting wing nut, keeping the overall look of the air cleaner assembly smooth and sleek. The air assemblies lid comes with a 1/4x20 nut securely attached to the bottom side, eliminating the need for a top mounted nut. This does, however, mean that a shortening of the carburetor stud is required for proper installation.

Scott Drake 14" Round Aluminum Finned Air Cleaner Assembly Includes:
- Solid Aluminum Bottom Air Filter Plate
- Solid Aluminum Finned Top Air Filter Plate
- 2" x 14" Round Air Filter

Scott Drake Air Cleaner Assembly Aluminum Finned 14" Round 2V/4V 1965-1985 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome addition to engine Bought this a few weeks ago and installed easily by cutting down existing air cleaner bolt. I matched this with the Scott Drake aluminum valve covers with similar design. Made the entire motor look meaner and cleaner. Also found you can replace the airfilter with STP brand with same thickness or even a 2 or 3 inch thick one.

Why does the cover overhang the filter? Is there a filter that will fit flush with the cover?

Asked by: Mustangmike66
It is just the way the part is intended to fit.

Scott Drake Air Cleaners C5ZZ-9600-AFK. Does this air cleaner have an inlet for the closed PCV hose? If not do you have one?

Asked by: Agroman
The air cleaner doesn't connect to the PCV system. It vents through the oil filler cap on the valve cover.
