Product Questions

Will this work on a 1967 Ranchero with non power drumb brakes?

Asked by: Binder
I didn't see the Ranchero listed under the "Other Applications" section, so that means we simply don't know whether it would work or not, as we've not tested it for that application, nor has the manufacturer told us it fits.

What switch do I use on a 65 mustang which I have converted from drum front brakes to your power disk brakes conversion kit? The catalog says the HW1190 switch is only for NON power brakes.

Asked by: billinva
This one will work on 1965-1966s with power brakes, just not 1967-1970s, as long as you have an alternator.

Will this brake light switch HW1190 mount on 1964 1/2 mustang brake pedal? If so, can you give a few pointers on how to install? Thanks.

Asked by: Tbird
No, it won't work - 1964.5 Mustangs had a generator, not an alternator, so it won't work with this part.

I have a 1967 which originally had non power drum brakes, I upgraded to power front disc brakes and lights only work when you press really hard on pedal (more than it takes to stop). Is this the correct switch to use for a replacement?

Asked by: woah99

how do you test a brake light switch

Asked by: chase2011

Having trouble installing this switch. The brake light stays on and will not go out. Does anyone have a good drawing or photo of how this switch is installed?
