Product Description

Scott Drake Cowl Cover for all 1967-1968 Mustangs.

Eliminate water, dirt and leaves from entering through the cowl vent. This Cowl Cover from Scott Drake helps prevent rusty cowls and soggy carpet which can lead to rusty floors. This Cowl Cover from Scott Drake covers the Cowl Vents, protecting the cowl from collecting water which could cause issues down the road. The pair of Cowl Covers are constructed from poly methyl methacrylate plastic with a foam surround which protects the paint.

Installation is made easy due to the four billet knobs. The spring loaded tabs are pressed down and twisted to lock in place. The tabs go through the vent bars and the T-bracket applies pressure to the backside of the vent bars. No tools are required for installation, so it only takes a few minutes to install the cowl covers on your 1967-1968 Mustang.

Scott Drake Cowl Cover 1967-1968 is rated 4.375 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keep the water out! I was getting water in the driver's area every time it rained, or I washed my car, so I stumbled upon these and ordered them immediately. They definitely do their job if they are placed properly, as it rained a couple days after installation. Easy to install, you really only need a quarter. The only thing is that the black, circular, rubber things around the huge screw things fall off very easily prior to installation. They can be easily put back on, and once installed will not move, but be careful not to lose it beforehand! The picture shows two different models, I received the one on the left.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what is pictured, well kinda, will require mod I received these and they are not what is pictured as well as one of the rubber spring/cushions is already cracked. You would think that they would have checked the item before they shipped it. The locking mechanisms are different than what is pictured. The ones I received have finger grips that do not require the use of a coin to lock. Also the foam gasket that is used to make the seal IS as its pictured, uneven, not straight and having the potential to fall off after a couple of uses. I want to recommend this product because it is such a great idea, but the quality just is not there, compared to all there other products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cow Covers I bought cow covers for my '68 Mustang. Never thought I would drive in rain. Well, 1st day I put them on I got stuck in a brief rain storm & they did their job & kept the rain water out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly I had a cowl meant for a 1965-1966 Mustang that "worked" only to an extent. The acrylic is pretty thick, which is impressive. The foam lining I thought at first looked cheap due to the way it's one continuous piece and "bends" around corners, but that basically means it has less or no gaps for moisture to leak in. It's a very tight fit, getting the coin-turned spring things positioned perfectly to get between the cowl vent slits. But just as you'd expect tightening a bolt on something important, once it's set in place it is definitely not going anywhere. My only complaint is the rubber lining around the coin spring. It's flimsy and falls off easily when trying to get the cover in place. It takes a bit of dexterity to get the rubber lining back on, and is necessary to prevent water leaking through the coin spring, so you have to get it right.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great but not the item pictured. I got these to replace the one piece style cowl cover which had cracked in the middle. I liked the idea that they required a coin to take on and off. However this is not what I received. The cowl cover I received had two knurled aluminum knobs instead. Not bad but much easier to remove (especially of some one is stealing them).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1967-68 Cowl Cover Bought for my 1967, the two pieces fit the cowls very well. The knobs do not need a coin, as they are like a thumb twist and locked in place easily. Appears to make the cowl waterproof, which I wanted as the car is stored outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good idea for leaky cowls Covers seem to keep water out until I get my cowls fixed. Sweet little invention. Picture on the website needs to be updated though because you don't need to use a coin to tighten the screw. Now they use a knob
