Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fit and finish I got these to go with our TMI sport door panels and they look great. They will go great with any Pony conversion or rebuild. If your adding them for a pony conversion to your stock interior, the correct placement measurements are in the tech artical section on this site.

Scott Drake Door Courtesy Light 1965-1966 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: The thousands of products we currently carry here at CJ's, the manufacturer customers ask for by name most is Scott Drake. For over thirty years, Scott Drake has produced high quality Ford-licensed restoration parts for your Mustang. Starting off with a trunk weather stripping made while still in high school for a shop teacher, today Scott Drake offers over 9,000 products, making them the largest manufacturer of Mustang restoration parts around. Currently based in Henderson, Nevada, just outside Las Vegas, Scott Drake is expanding his restoration line to include late model Mustang parts under the Drake Muscle Car's name.

Today let's take a closer look at some of their products, and the attention to detail Scott Drake puts into them. These are the door courtesy lights found in your '65 through '66 Mustang with Pony interior. They can also easily be added to your Mustang standard interior as well. You can see the Scott Drake piece uses the correct oval-headed stainless steel screw, where your standard reproduction uses a non-correct chrome, flat-head screw. The Scott Drake light not only has the correct part number in the back, he uses the correct OE style zinc housings, as opposed to the chrome housings found in the reproduction. The white gasket is also concourse correct, as opposed the generic black gasket used over here. Looking at the wiring harness, OE style seal, versus generic glued on seal.

Scott Drake labels their housings with orientations on all sides, so you're installing them the correct way where standard reproduction has no labels whatsoever. The Drake also uses the correct bulb, versus the generic bulb on our reproduction. Here's our standard bulb lit up, and here's the correct bulb from Scott Drake lit up. See a huge difference in the brightness. The lens is installed you can see the superior light output for the Scott Drake piece. Not only is it brighter, the light is going to be even, versus very uneven with our standard reproduction. So if you're looking for the best-fitting, highest quality parts to re-do your restoration or your late model Mustang, make sure you check out our selection of Scott Drake products.
