Product Description

Scott Drake Heater Blower Switch Resistor for all 1965-1966 Mustangs and 1967 Mustangs without Air Conditioning.

If you’re in the middle of restoring the heating and/or cooling system in your 1965-1968 Mustang, then this direct replacement Heater Blower Switch Resistor from Scott Drake is the perfect part to help complete your restoration.

Electrical components are one of those types of parts in all cars that are the first to wear out and stop functioning properly. If the heater blower has stopped working in your early model Mustang, chances are the motor switch resistor has blown or shorted out.

This is a direct replacement part for the factory original heater blower motor switch resistor in all 1965-1966 Mustangs and all 1967 Mustangs without an air conditioning system installed. This Heater Blower Motor Switch Resistor from Scott Drake is installed directly on to the heater box and regulates the flow of current into the motor, ultimately regulating the speed at which the heater blower motor runs. Without this resistor functioning properly, you can bank on some cold cabin temperatures!

These resistors often fail and prevent the blower motor from turning on. So if the resistor on the heater blower motor has stopped working, or is broken or missing, this is the part you need to get that heater blower motor pushing out the hot air and keeping you warm once again!

If Scott Drake does make a change in one of their classic reproduction parts, that change is often an improvement for owners, making the part of even higher quality than the original.

Scott Drake Heater Blower Switch Resistor 1965-1966/Without Air Conditioning 1967 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: We're here with Scott Drake's Blower Switch Resistor fitting your '65 through '66 Mustang, as well as your '67 without air conditioning. The blower switch resistor is a common failure in early Mustang's, which will make your blower switch not work properly. Based on the way this works this is what allows you to have multiple speeds for the heater in your early Mustang. This switch is going to control flow of current to the heater motor, which is actually what adjusts the speeds. If the heater motor does work, or does the speeds don't change, more than likely it's the resistor. This resistor is a reproduction of your original resistor, and is a direct replacement with the mounts and the necessary plugs. The heater switch resistor mounts to your heater box. If you're looking to rebuild it, it's an excellent time to replace this resistor. This will also fit other '62 through '67 Fords.
