Product Description

Scott Drake Curved Black Monte Carlo Bar for 1965-1966 Mustangs.

This bar was developed by Carroll Shelby to stop shock tower flex and maintain proper wheel alignment during hard cornering. This extra support also helps prevent shock tower stress cracks.

Copied from the original design, Scott Drake's bars feature a new thicker diameter tube and improved fender brackets. Also features stamped square holes in the top of each fender bracket to allow for the use of lower profile carriage bolts.

The curved design allows for extra clearance for an oval air cleaner and taller aftermarket distributors.

Very Nice piece
The Monte Carlo bar was a perfect fit. I was fortunate enough that I didn't have to spread the engine bay. It slipped in and the bolt holes were dead on. I drilled the extra holes that are needed and picked up 4 carriage bolts for the top mount.
Excellent piece and would recommend to anyone.

Great Product
it was like night and day. i cant believe that you could notice the difference right away!!!!!!! this thing works, i went with scott drakes because its thicker and the purpose of this thing is to stiffen up the ride.

installation was a breeze, i know some people saying that you have to lift the car in the front right under the engine so the shock towers spread open a bit to fit the bar. i did not have to, i just had to force it a bit. my car had 3 out of the 4 screws per side already installed so i removed them and reinstalled the original screws. you will have to drill a new hole but once you put the bar in you use the bar as a guide, drill the hole. i bought a set of screws and used two of them for the new hole. if i had to do it again i would buy the screws that have the square notch on them and they fit flush.
as i said early in this review this bar did amazing things to my car, it cut down the squeaks and you can feel the rigidity. also i use to drive 65-70mph on highway and anything after that the car would shake a bit much and kept me honest. well now my car does 80,mph without and shacking like it use to...
