Product Description

Scott Drake Curved Black Monte Carlo Bar for 1969-1970 Mustangs.

This premium-quality Monte Carlo bar from Scott Drake was originally developed by Carroll Shelby to stop shock tower flex and maintain proper wheel alignment during hard cornering. This extra support also helps prevent shock tower stress cracks. Copied from the original design, Scott Drake's bars feature a new thicker diameter tube and improved fender brackets. This beautiful black metallic bar features stamped square holes in the top of each fender bracket to allow for the use of lower profile carriage bolts. The curved design of Scott Drake's bar allows for extra clearance for an oval air cleaner and taller aftermarket distributors. Order your upgraded Monte Carlo bar today from CJ's!

Scott Drake has become an iconic brand that redefines quality for reproduction and aftermarket Mustang parts for 1965 to present Mustangs, and has become the standard for OEM quality Mustang parts that offer the best fit, durability and quality. Scott Drake Monte Carlo Bar Curved Black 1969-1970 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I bought this for my 69 Mustang because the spacing on this bar is correct for the 69/70 Mustangs. Dropped right in all holes lined up perfectly. Looks great under the hood and with this bar and the new export brace my Mustang feels so much tighter and the suspension feels better than new. Awesome addition for any Mustang.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great bar, terrible shipping Great bar, build and fit look good. Haven't installed it yet as the ends are scratched up due poor packing and handling. Considering returning it for a replacement once I get to that point.

Product Questions

Does this bar fit the 428 c j with shaker hood and shaker? Is it far enough out front to clear the breather and or distributor ?

Asked by: jim parker
It would come very close to the breather, it will clear the distributor, it will not clear the intake that is mounted on the passenger side of the air cleaner or any emission equipment if your car is equipped with it.
