Scott Drake Shock Tower Top Billet Pair 1967-1970 is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Top shocker mount holes These look a treat but like the other reviews, the top mounting holes are too far apart. (see photo) I eventually filed out the shocker top plates to be able to fix the shocker to the Billet mounts. With mine, the captive bolts in the kit were also too skinny and flat washers were required so the mounting bolts would not half cock sideways into the shocker top plate. Also, the three coach bolts from the shocker tower to these billet caps were now too short to have the tower support bracket fitted as well.. (the billet mount is thicker than the standard pressed metal mounts) Longer coach bolts will bare needed too. I like the look of these mounts but the suppliers needs to re-jig the template for the top mount holes and maybe supply additional hardware for a straight forward installation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Center to Center Measurement wrong These are a quality billet piece but the shock mounting bolt holes center to center measurement does not work these are 2 7/8" and the stock shock measurement is 2 3/8". Do not recommend the purchase of this item.

Product Questions

Is the fitment issue noted by all 3 reviewers fixed or should I just stay away from these?  They look nice but gotta fit!  Don't need shelf ware.

Asked by: Boulder68
Scott Drake made a change in May. The bolt holes are now 2-19/32” which is slightly wider than the original 2-7/16” measurement. All of the shocks that we sell(KYB, Scott Drake and Koni) have slotted mounting brackets that will work with the revised version.
