Pair of Traction Bars for all 1965-1966 Mustangs.Have you started to experience wheel hop when launching off the line in your 1965-1966 Mustang? How about erratic deceleration and leaf spring unwrapping when powerfully braking? If your suspension arms are noticeably rigid and the suspension bushings are not weak and flexing too much, this Pair of Traction Bars are something you need to have installed on your favorite pony without hesitation!
This Pair of Traction Bars for all 1965-1966 Mustangs bolt onto the stock U-bolt plates in the rear and weld on to the frame in the front. The mounting plate bolt holes measure 2-7/8" apart and mount directly over the axle. These bars are "axle locating" devices designed to reduce axle windup during hard braking and extreme acceleration.
The wheels in your Mustang are not rigidly fixed to the chassis, so when the ground pushes on the wheels, they move slightly forward in the wheel well. If the toe of the driven wheels changes during acceleration, the grip of the tire must also be changing and wheel hop is a result of this change in grip.
These traction bars were original equipment on the 1966 Shelby GT350. They greatly reduce wheel hop and improve acceleration in any high horsepower 1965-1966 Mustang. These traction bars reduce axle wind-up and wheel hop during hard braking and rapid acceleration by securing the rear axle to the car with more than just the leaf springs. This translates to improved traction and braking, providing you with a smoother overall ride, during both extreme accelerations and abrupt, hard decelerations.

Traction Bar Pair 1965-1966 is rated out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gibbs from SHELBYRIFIC! Bought and installed these traction master style traction bars for my 65 Fastback. Installation is fairly easy and straight forward as long as you have some welding skill. I had just rebuilt my rear and also installed new leaf springs so things went quick for me. I didn't download the pics from my phone, or I would have added them to the post, if I can this weekend I will post

Will these fit if the Mustang has bolt on sub-frame connectors??
